I've known Barney for 21 years. We were in another insurance company with him and then started working with him at HBW about 15 years ago. When we were just starting with HBW, Barney did everything he could to help us to be successful in the insurance business. He allowed us to build the biggest organization by helping us recruit nationwide.
Besides being in business with Barney, we have traveled across the country and even outside the country with him and his wife. We have stayed in their house countless times and they even came to our small town, out in the middle of nowhere, twice, to watch our son play High School football.
Barney is our friend as much as he is our business associate. Even if we weren't in the business with him, we would still count him as one of our very best friends.
He is very generous, caring and open to hearing our ideas for how to make HBW the best company it can be. Even though some of my ideas are a littly crazy, he always listens to them in a respectful way and will implement them if they will work and it's possible. He has never told me that my ideas are stupid or treated me like I wasn't his equal. It's amazing that anybody would think that he talks down to them or won't listen to them. He has strong opinions and lots of his own ideas but that doesn't mean that he can't hear from other people what their ideas are.
